Shown above is one of our new star volunteers Alyssa with her friend Kass. They lead the pack and carried our banner! Thanks girls!
Shown above, The ever popular Basset Hounds, Beau and Watson, were in attendance. They enjoyed a warm ride in the Ontario SPCA truck with our Branch Manager, Tracy and her husband Rick!
Panda (above) didn't get to ride in the truck but was just as happy to walk down the street with her favorite "Volun-told" Doug!
Shown above, Lea (the fearless leader of our Branch Advisory Committee), and Jamie (our Volunteer Coordinator), walked in the parade as well. Lea was the only "cat" that could handle the stress of a Christmas Parade! :)
Brad and Melanie (above) also joined us in the parade! They walked their famous sheep dog, Tucker (below). Tucker was a real hit with his "booties"! He was also super cute with his Christmas hat! Thank you Lea for bringing cute hats for everyone!
Jamie and Noel (above) dressed up for the occasion. Special thank you to Linda who made the blue dog smocks and to Nora who printed the messages for the side of them! They were a real hit!

Petawawa Public Library's Festival of Trees
On Sunday November 30th we decorated a Christmas tree as part of the Petawawa Public Library's Festival of Trees. Our tree will be on display until December 28th. If you get the chance to get to the Library, check out our tree along with all the other creative tree designs. This year we made decorations that had pictures of some of the animals adopted during 2008. Since we've adopted out hundreds of animasl so far, we couldn't fit them all on the tree! We've surpassed our adoption number from last year and we are still going strong thanks to the Iams Home for the Holidays campaign!
